Since its inception in 1995, International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC) authority has been taking all possible steps to build up a well-equipped modern library. Now it becomes one of the most extensive libraries among all the private university libraries of Bangladesh.

Message
In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful. Welcome to the Central Library of International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC). The library website is our gateway to our services and resources. The aim of the library website is to provide a brief introduction to the services, facilities, opening hours and other necessary information about the library. The mission of the library is to provide quality service to library users in all our endeavors’ through multiple communication networks utilizing the updated infrastructure and needed resources continuously. The main objective of the library is to acquire resources, enhance knowledge, and support the educational programs of IIUC. The library is the backbone of the research and development activities of IIUC. The use of library resources is vital for pursuing study and research. It is an integral part of the university, and it has comprehensive collections to meet the information, research, and curriculum needs of its faculty, students and staff members. The resources of the library include a diverse collection of print and electronic resources. As Librarian of International Islamic University Chittagong, I oversee the many dedicated staff who acquire, catalog, preserve, and make available library resources within the library and through online. I welcome you to use the library and visit the library website. I do hope that everyone would make full use of the facilities and services offered by the library. Library Committee
The library is advised by a committee consisting of representatives from Board of Trustees, Syndicate, Dean of faculties, Chairman of departments, and Directors of Institutes of the university. The Pro Vice-Chancellor of the university is the Chairman of the Library Management Committee (LMC), and the Librarian is the Member-Secretary of the Committee.

Library Collections
The library has about 92450 books of 17010 titles, 2259 journals, 3151 theses, 3360 documents, 150 manuscripts, 5798 magazines, and 154 audio-visual materials. Access and download facilities of about 35500 online journals, 18500 eBooks, and five million e-Theses are available. In addition to these collections, the library subscribes printed issues of a large number of journals, foreign and local magazines, and almost all leading national newspapers of Bangladesh.
